8 In The Clip. Episode 7! We about to make this a household name! Back with a music chart highlighting the best of the Far East and West for the top of February 2021.
The cream of the crop this go around was, without a doubt, the standout project from The Winners camp capo, Hus Kingpin, and the project, Portishus. The LP is surprisingly deep, clockin' at near 20 tracks of dopeness. It's cinematic noir rap through and through, and while it does reference Portishead as the title, it uses the trip hop band more so as a spearpoint of influence rather than an overtly repetitive one.
The standout of standouts for me, was 'Shooters Harmony', featuring Spade Bangbino, just 'cuz it sees Hus play with his flow more and the chorus is an earworm and homage to Bone Thugs. Press play, it's been on repeat here steady!

The rest of the chart is no joke either as a dart from TEK of Smif 'N' Wessun, featuring Conway The Machine really made a strong consideration for top shotta. Hong Kong and Mongolia represent the lone Asian track to make the conciseness, with Dough-Boy and Ginjin linkin' up for one on, 'So Cold'. Bangin' music from THERAVADA, Paul Hares, Madlib, Dave East, Tayamo Denku, Killa Priest, Bo Faat, Prada and Plastikman round out the top 8!
And if that wasn't enough we had to lace this extra potent. Beginning this episode, we come wit' the extra heat, so check all the way through for the goodies at the end like the powder crystals in a ketchup chip bag! BOOM!
