I’ve recently decided that I'm going to do a fun little music doc about Richmond’s/Vancouver’s/Lower Mainland’s new wave Asian rap scene, and I’m developing my first feature, a coming of age, hip-hopera, and crime drama, "Chinatown Diner".
We speak to our good friend Ms. Junko Shimada, owner of the Tokyo gallery, Gallery Side 2. She represents a strong roster of predominantly Japanese artists, and is an avid bon vivant of life. She has contributed to one of our favorite, 'Music Is Playing' playlists, and is always a great host and conversation, every time we meet.
We check in with our good friend, Nicolò Talignani, co-founder of the Italian brand, Waxman Brothers to make sure he is good, and see how they have responded to the Covid-19 epidemic.
